Alumni & Development

Welcome back to Marian Central Catholic High School. In 2006, we celebrated the graduation of our 6,000th student. Our numbers keep growing, and about half of our alumni base continues to live in the area. So look around, chances are you meet fellow alums in your daily life. You are part of a large family, but each of our alums is important to us.

There are many ways alums can stay involved at Marian. Join us during our annual Homecoming Week festivities for the special Alumni Mass or stop by the Alumni Tent as you help cheer on our team at the big football game. You can work to promote alumni involvement in our school by volunteering as a class agent and fostering a spirit of pride and loyalty in Marian among your classmates. Every year hundreds of fellow alums contribute to the Annual Fund in October, test the odds at the Fathers’ Club weekly Thursday night bingo or All Night Bingo games in October and April, attend the dinner auction in March, or join us for the golf outing in June.

The Marian Central Catholic High School Annual Fund underwrites programs and projects that cannot be funded by tuition, fees, and endowment earnings alone. Each gift helps provide financial assistance to our many qualifying families, enabling them to receive a value-based Catholic/Christian secondary education. Your contributions help Marian attract and retain its distinguished faculty, maintain the technology that keeps us current and competitive, ensures that our classrooms, library, laboratories, and athletic teams are supplied with up-to-date equipment and materials, and advances our Catholic mission of excellence in education and service to others.

Plans are underway for the Marian Central annual dinner and auction on Saturday, March 8, 2008. Please plan to join us for a gala evening at the Crystal Lake Holiday Inn. The dinner auction committee members are working to make this an evening you will not forget. You can help in a number of ways. Individuals or businesses can participate in underwriting, place an ad in the program book, donate an auction item, or purchase a raffle ticket. Volunteer your time and talent at the event. All your help is appreciated.

Keep in touch with us, and help us bring everything that Marian has to offer to the next generation of Hurricanes.
