The Athletic Director Dr. Michael McGovern is responsible for all matters pertaining to the athletic program including scheduling of contests, ordering athletic equipment, maintaining an inventory of all athletic equipment, and arranging transportation for all athletic contests. The phone number for his office is 815-338-4220 Ext. 110. Their offices are located off the commons area, near the main gym.

Marian Central is a member and adheres to the rules and regulations of the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) and the Suburban Catholic Conference (SCC). The other members of the SCC are: Addison Driscoll Catholic, Aurora Central Catholic, Aurora Marmion Academy, Aurora Rosary, Elgin St. Edward, Elmhurst Immaculate Conception, Lombard Montini, and Wheaton St. Francis.
