National Merit Finalist

Ms. Debra Novy, Principal of Marian Central Catholic High School in Woodstock, IL, announced today that Joseph Noonan was officially named as a Finalist in the National Merit® Scholarship Program.

Currently narrowed down to 15,000 finalists, the National Merit® Scholarship Corporation is now tasked with selecting only 7,500 student winners sometime between April and July of this year. Every finalist competes for one of three different types of awards, National Scholarships, Corporate-sponsored scholarship awards, and College-sponsored Merit Scholarship awards ranging from $500 to $10,000 a year.

We at Marian want to again commend Joseph on his already exceptional achievements at Marian Central as well as with this program, and wish him luck on this, the final step in the 18-month long process. Marian is proud to send forth students such as these, as they pave the way to a bright and impressive future.
