The Bully Plays

Attention Middle Schools:  SOLD OUT

WHAT:  A 90-minute performance of contemporary scenes about bullying (with a talk back session) to help students recognize bullying situations and better understand how to react to & handle bullying situations. Topics include: including others, self-confidence, how to support someone who may be a victim (not just being a bystander), how to respond to a bully, false “friends,” peer pressure, name calling, cyber bullying, and recognizing bullying behavior.

WHERE:           Marian Central Catholic High School Auditorium, 1001 McHenry Ave, Woodstock, IL 60098 (Busses may drop students off at the auditorium entrance, #7)

WHEN:             November 21, 2019; 10:00-11:30 a.m.

WHO:   Produced, directed, and performed by students in the Introduction to Theatre and Theatre 2 classes at Marian Central Catholic High School for students in grades 5-8 and their teachers

WHY: This anthology was commissioned in response to the growing epidemic of bullying and the all-too-often tragic results. The plays are touching, imaginative, powerful, uplifting and funny.
